New Release - The Dom Who Said Please - Raven McAllan

Always delighted to have the wonderful and talented Raven McAllan on my blog, today with a new regency release from Evernight Publishing.

Hi there, and thank you for inviting me onto your blog.

I’m so excited to be able to tell you a little bit about my new release from Evernight Publishing, The Dom who said Please.

As I’m sure you all know the lovely author Doris O’Connor lost her battle with cancer earlier this year. She was like a sister to me. My husband and I are honorary grandparents to her children, and we spoke every day. Even though we lived at opposite ends of the country we got together regularly.

She always said she loved my Regencies more than anything else so I started writing this for her, when she went into hospital. Sadly she didn’t get to read the end, but I’d told her the plot and she approved.

I hope it works for you as well.

Blurb…

Widow Eleanor Charter knows one thing. She does not want to marry again.
Especially not to someone forceful and dominant.
So why is Theo Moncur, the Earl of Glensmoor interested in her?
As far as she is concerned any man who considers himself dominant, whether he is or not, will play no part in her life. She will be in charge of her life.
Dominant Theo doesn’t have marriage on his mind.
Having given his mistress her congé, his growing attraction toward Eleanor makes him wonder if she would fill that place.
He sees something in her, that appeals.
The lady would be a perfect submissive—not that she agrees.
However the more he gets to know her, the more he understands she is the only lady for him.
Now all he has to do is persuade Eleanor to agree.

And a wee tease…

“For you to trust me is indeed all the thanks I need from you. To be the first one to make love to you is something I never thought possible. To be the one who shows you those joys as well as the ones of dominance and submission makes me both proud and apprehensive I will not make it as pleasurable as it should be. You know it will hurt at first?” he asked her.

“But then that pain will go and you will experience something so beautiful it will take your breath away. Our bodies will dance and mesh and become as one, until that special sensation, the climax will overtake both of us and we cry out in our completion.”

And he hoped to hell he remembered to withdraw before his seed filled her. Somehow, Theo didn’t think she’d appreciate being with child. Not yet.

The thought of Eleanor, her belly swollen with his child, sent a tingle of anticipation through him.

One day, perhaps? His mind went into overdrive as he imagined that scenario. First, though, he had to let her become comfortable with him in all ways. Their future was much too important to rush things. Slow, steady and with them both happy would be his mantra from now on.

Theo stood up with Eleanor still in his arms and swung her around in a circle. Her legs waved and she giggled. He went faster and she squawked. “Give over. You’ll make us both giddy.”

He laughed. “I am giddy. Drunk with desire. Ready willing and hopefully able to do all we want.” He strode to the bed. “Are you too sore for me to drop you on your arse? Watch you bounce on the mattress and see your tits bobble and jiggle. Then desire you watch me strip. Come on top of you. Suckle you. Worship you. Take you.” His words aroused even him. “Be together as close as any man and woman ever can be.”

She stared at him, her eyes bright, her skin flushed, and her breath coming out in tiny erotic pants.

“Hell, woman, answer me, please,” Theo said, his voice rough with desire. “Or I’ll be so swollen I won’t get my trousers off over my cock without doing myself an injury. That would benefit neither of us.”

Her eyes widened. “That would never do. Let me fall now, do the bounce and things you desire, and then you undress, as fast as you can.”

“My pleasure.” He did as she requested, and in less than one minute, dropped naked down onto the bed next to her and looked at her as he considered his options.

Eleanor returned his gaze. She bent her head and examined him with a thoroughness he admired. No coy or shyness there, thank goodness.

“Do you like what you see?”

She stared up at him. “What?”

“My body. Does it interest you? Please you? Make you want to touch?’

She blushed. “Oh, yes.”

“Then, please, my love, feel free to do what you desire.” He could wait to make her his. For a short while, anyway. Theo rolled onto his back, stroked his wet cock, and inclined his head before he put his hands behind his neck.” All ready and waiting.”

As he expected, his actions stretched his body and his staff rose out of its bed of wiry hair and swayed as if in welcome. One drop of pre-cum coated its head, another slid down its length.

Eleanor swallowed. “Oh, my.” She moved and tentatively put one finger then her hand on him.

Theo bit back the exclamation he had been going to make, tamped own on his desire to show her how to move her hand over his, and stayed as he was. His prick was primed and ready to go. He didn’t want any accidents.

“It is velvet-covered steel.” She sounded awed. “And.” One finger touched the tip where that pearled droplet quivered. “And this?”

“Is the prelude to when I spill my seed. It shows how you excite me, how I want to be inside you. How ready I am. Makes me wet for ease of entry.”

“Then maybe you best show me how it works?” Her voice quavered and strengthened. “The wetness?” She blushed and cleared her throat. “I experience something similar. It is … argh…”

Theo stroked the downy curls that hid her channel and slid one finger easily into her moist depths. She clutched his shoulder. “Th … e … o. What?”

“This is the rest of the prelude. You can still use your safe words if need be.” He added another finger. This time, she sighed and gave a soft mewl of satisfaction.

“Go, go and go, and please, I want more.” She tugged at his wrist. “I need you in me. Now,” she added forcefully. “Right now.”

He grinned. “Domming now, are you?’

“Am I?” She giggled. “If knowing I need you in me so much that my skin is on fire and I’m shaking with anticipation, then yes.”

New Release - Raven McCallan - Temptation

Very happy to host Raven McAllan today with her exciting new release, Temptation, which is the first installment of a new series, Isola dei Sogni. A big hello and cheer please for this lovely lady and great friend!! Please remember that if you buy any Evernight Book this week directly at Evernight.com all proceeds go to support our dear Doris O'Connor as she fights her very scary battle with cancer. SO even if you are usually an Amazon shopper, consider buying directly at Evernight for this week. New releases are always discounted too!

Thank you so much for offering to host me today.

I’m very excited about the fact Temptation the first book in my new series, Isola dei Sogni is now available from Evernight Publishing here

You can get it on Amazon, and from other eBook vendors as well.

Several years ago I had two short stories out about Isola dei Sogni, an island where dreams and fantasies come true if you let them. The rights reverted to me and I pondered until eventually, I lengthened the stories and sent them to Evernight.

Who, quite rightly decided book two Temptation would make a better book one. The other story Impulse is now book two and will be released in March.

(I hope that’s not confusing.)

So Temptation is ready to be read. I do hope if you decide to give it a go, you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I had a blast.

An island where dreams and fantasies come true?
Unheard of.
That’s what Meryl thought until someone showed her the brochure.
Dare she?
It was all well and good until the one person she didn’t want to see was there. Ready, willing and able to give her those fantasies.
Marloth couldn’t believe his eyes when the one lady he truly loved appeared on Isola Dei Sogni. Was this his second chance to prove his love for her?
Now he just had to get her to believe in him, and that they had a future together.
Being a shifter wasn’t going to help. He’d need all of his human skills to achieve his heart’s desire.

And a wee tease~
Three hours later, Meryl was replete, comfy, and ready to sleep. Next to her, Mia had settled down with her headphones on and was watching an old film with a grin on her face. Meryl stuck her head over the privacy screen. Johnny Depp in Chocolat. She smiled. Yeah, he’ll do. Mia gave her the thumbs up before she pulled the screen up, let her seat down into a bed, and covered herself with the blanket provided. Films could wait, but the inspection of the inside of her eyelids couldn’t.

The man who stroked her hair was everything anyone could want. Meryl looked at him and grinned.

“It was you.”

He smiled and nipped her earlobe with sharp white teeth. “Of course, who else? I’m always around. You’re mine and I’ll be wherever you are.”

Meryl sniggered, even though she felt like crying. “Liar, you might be in my dreams, but you aren’t always about. Hell, I’ve cried myself to sleep and you’ve not been there to hold my hand or wipe my tears.”

“Ah, love.” He cuddled her close and Meryl felt his heartbeat resonate through her. “I’m always there. You chose to ignore it. You are my life and with me, in me, at all times. I shouldn’t have stayed and I did. I shouldn’t have left like I did, but I had no options. Surely, you knew you just had to show me you needed me and I’d be with you? If not in person, in your dreams. Even when you’ve called me all the names no self-respecting person should know, let alone say.” He paused and rubbed her shoulder. “Just because I’m not on show, doesn’t mean I’m not here, not with you. Hold your hand out and let your heart feel me. You are mine, and even though you doubt it, it’s true.”

He ran his hand over her heart, and Meryl felt his heat burning into her. She melted as he kissed her, and his hand lifted her t-shirt and stroked her breast over the top of her bra. Her skin stung as arousal zipped through her and Meryl crossed her legs to stop the shivers of excitement she felt from being too obvious. She was on a plane, for heaven’s sake. Okay, she’d heard of the mile high club, but it was so not her. Was it?

He grinned, and tingles danced down her spine. “Ah, my lovely Meryl, just let yourself go. Purr for me.” He nipped and sucked her shoulder and at the same time moved his hand to creep under the top of her jeans and touch her clit. Meryl groaned at the sweet sting he gave her, even as she arched into his palm. His breath was warm on her neck. “Oh sweet, I’ve so missed touching you. Come for me now.” As he stroked and petted, it was the perfect feeling of love, care, and being needed.

She shook, and he drank her sighs and mewls of pleasure as his mouth covered hers in a long, lingering kiss. With a silent scream, she shattered. As she came down from one of the most exhilarating climaxes ever, his hands stroked her hair in a long soothing caress. If she were a cat, she’d purr.

Hold on. Cats? Purring? What the hell is going on? Her sleepy, sated state disappeared in a second.

Meryl opened her eyes. All thoughts of her climax disappeared as she saw where she was. Sheesh, did I really make myself come with a dream? Hell, I hope no one saw or heard me. She checked—the blanket still covered her.

There was no one around. The noise of the engines droned in the background, her video screen showed static, and the lights were dimmed. Next to her, Mia was now fast asleep and most of the other passengers were in the same state. Nowhere could she see that golden-haired man with the amber eyes.

Worried, she made her way to the loo and stared in the mirror. There on her shoulder was a deep red mark.

New release - Raven McAllan - Darling Doc

Always happy to host that grand lady and great friend Raven McAllan (aka Kera Faire, if you want to discover her darker side!). She's been in a tizzy over this new book for a while, being her first book in first person POV and her first hot book after a while (those horrid "whiles", eek), so give her a good cheer, will ya!?

Dear Katherine, hi, and a big thanks for hosting me today. I tell you, I’m all over excited, because my story, Darling Doc is out.
It’s exciting in more ways than one.
Apart from the fact that any book birthday is a great time for celebration—think fizz, chocolate, chair swivel jiggle, yee haaa’s and so on wink— this is doubly so.
You see, I was convinced I’d lost my hot writing gene. I thought it had danced away never to return.
And that was scary.
Luckily (after more months than I care to think about) it returned.  However, I never thought it would be with a story written in first person. That’s something new.
Does it work? That’s up to the readers to decide. Cue nail biting
What I can say is I had a ball writing it. From the real life bit (the water bottle), to the ohh what ifs, and getting into my heroine’s mind...it was fun all the way.
Like a lot, if not most authors, I can’t write to order. I can only write what my muse tells me. Shouts at me, demands I stop a or b and do x, y or z... or whatever.
So when it shouted, oy first person point of view, no one was more surprised tan I was.
However as I started to write the story I realised that it was the only way to write it.
Through Sandy’s eyes.
This is the result...

This stuff only happens in romance novels….
After a chance meeting on a crowded tram, Sandy has cause to re-evaluate several things.
1, It is perfectly possible to lust after a stranger.
2, It isn’t only fictional heroines who need to carry spare panties.
3, A man’s voice really can almost make you climax in public.
4, Great sex does exist.
5, Being a doctor can complicate things.

When her chance encounter turns up in her surgery, there is only one thing for it. Grab said hunk and the sex on offer with both hands and don’t let go. Alistair isn’t a patient after all… and what two consenting adults get up to in their spare time can’t be love, or can it?

And a wee tease...
“We aren’t patient and doctor, are we?” he asked in a somewhat serious voice.
I shook my head. What was he getting at? “No, I gave you the info about the chemist as one acquaintance to another.”
“That’s okay then. I can change acquaintance to something else.”
He tugged my hand, and taken unawares I fell forward and my boobs hit his chest with a thump.
Nipples are traitors. Mine hardened and poked into him as if they wanted to bore through to his ribs and beyond. Well, I couldn’t blame them, but this was my surgery for goodness’ sake, and even if he wasn’t a patient, it had to be unethical as … I saw stars.
He’d snuck one arm around me and pulled me so close his cock was doing the same sort of thing as my nipples. Then, he put his mouth to mine, and I was damned sure my panties were damp.
Don’t ask me how long it was before I drew breath, resurfaced, or realized my phone was making noises. I was surrounded both in mind and body by hot, aroused male, and it was fantastic.
“Honey, Doc, your arse is making strange noises, if that doesn’t sound rude.” Alistair had drawn back, and to my mortification, I swayed toward him again. Hells bells, I hope I wasn’t puckered up. That would be too much.
“My?” Surely not? Then I remembered I’d put the office phone on to divert, and my mobile in my pocket ready to head out before Sandie had interrupted my departure. “Oh shit, I bet I’m late for my next place.” I fished the offending item out of my pocket and squinted at the screen. I really must get my eyes tested. It was getting ever harder to see small print. My reading glasses were either not strong enough or too strong, and anyway the lenses were so scratched it was like viewing the world through frosted glass. Handy if I went into the gents’ by mistake (and let’s face it if I had them on, it was as likely as not) but not a lot of good elsewhere.
I managed to make out a text saying time to move.
“Right, I’d better go.” I grabbed my bag, put my shoes back on—when had I kicked those off—and did one of those half polite smiles when you’re not sure what else to do.
He grinned. Really no man should be allowed to get away with an expression like that without appearing stupid. Alistair McCrea just looked sexy.
“Not before I ask you out.”
“What?” I had to stop saying that like a twit. No one would know I had degrees and stuff or a reasonable vocabulary. “Why?”
“Because I want to get into your knickers?” He paused for what I guessed was effect and then winked. “But not tonight. Tonight I’d like to take you out for dinner, and what else I have in mind doesn’t work well on a full stomach.”
Oh shiverooney. Hot sex? Swinging from the chandelier? Sadly no chandeliers around. What else? Now my mind was in overdrive. “Look, I’m not interested in a quick sh—how’s your father. Thanks, but no thanks. I have to remember who I am.” I did my doctor knows best face. He ignored it.
Thank you. Dare I say, but anything else I’m happy to negotiate over? Maybe I’d better not.

And look up Raven on her website for all the books and news!

New release - Kera Faire - The Cleaner

"My only issue? Too short, I so wanted more, but as Kera herself has said, “That’s as long as they made it.” Characters do tell their stories, long or short"

"Just loved this one! The stories are short, but oh so good! And frankly, it’s fun as a Yank trying to discern Kera’s Scot’s vernacular. Thank Goodness for Google! But hey, it makes it that much more fun"

"Trust me, you want to read this right up to the end. Kera just blew me out of the water with this one!"

Has she been a bad girl again? I think so, yes! Kera Faire is Raven McAllan's dark half and she's releasing the seventh title in her Death Isle series!

Rhonda Verene never thought she’d find herself pregnant and on her own with no means of getting in touch with the father. If only she hadn’t deleted his number in anger. There is only one thing to do, pull up her soon-to-be maternity knickers and find the one bit of family she has left—her brother.
Dan Traynor hated having to leave Rhonda behind. When his country needed him, however, he acted. Besides, it’s not every day you’re offered a job with the Dispatchers. He wasn't ready for Rhonda to crash into his workplace in search of her missing brother, never mind the whole becoming a daddy issue.
With everyone’s life in danger, the time hardly seems right to resume their relationship, but love always finds a way. Especially on Death Isle.

Curious?
